Accountants Are The Worst Drivers
According to a new study by insurers, Accountants are the most accident prone drivers in the UK. Doctors and Solicitors closely follow them on the list of worst drivers.
In 2015, a staggering 16,000 accident claims involved Accountants while a further 15,000 claims involved Solicitors. Roofing Contractors came out on top as the UK’s safest drivers and compared to Accountants they are four times less likely to be involved in an accident.
Finance workers are also on the top ten list of worst drivers, with Bankers at number six and Financial Advisers at four. The information was reported by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and comes from a study of over a million motorists from a car insurance specialist.
Occupations involving manual work are the least likely to cause a crash and farm workers, cleaners and builders were included in the top five safest drivers.
To the defence of Accountants everywhere, in our experience they are one of the best professional indemnity risks with fewer claims than most other mainstream professions.
